@dannyboy12
We said a number of times that we're not predicting picks, we're saying who we like and who we hope Toronto targets. This isn't football where you draft for need and the prospects are nationally televised every Saturday. Baseball draft picks come from all over the US (and Canada/Puerto Rico), from both colleges and high schools, and rare few get to watch them play.

With that being said, Underwood, Mathisen, and (I think) Alvarez were all taken before Toronto selected in the 2nd round, and the other two (Virant and Buehler) are going outside the first 10 rounds because of signability issues and the horrible new structure of the draft. The team went a different direction than Jared and I had hoped -- particularly with the first two picks -- but if the Blue Jays find a way to sign Smoral from the supplemental round and Alford from the 3rd, it's hard to argue they had a strong draft.
