7 Jays in Fangraphs Top 100 Prospects List

Marc Hulet of fangraphs posted his top 100 prospects list for 2012 today. To no ones surprise, the Blue Jays stellar farm system was well represented:

Anthony Gose: 36

Travis d’Arnaud: 37

Daniel Norris: 53

Drew Hutchison: 54

Justin Nicolino: 63

Noah Syndergaard: 64

Jake Marisnick: 66

The Jays haul only trailed the Atlanta Braves (8). In case you missed it, here are the links to fangraphs farm system rankings (spoiler alert: Jays ranked 2nd), and their Jays top 15 prospects. You can also find Jays Journal’s top 50 prospects list here.

I would say no to Hutchinson, but  the rest I like, which is weird, cause I think Hulet is kind of a boob when it comes to rankings. He had Colorado at 21 and LA Dodgers at like 13 and said it was because of depth. The Dodgers once you get by the first 5 or 6 are terrible, with few position prospects worth even talking about if any. Plus he had Seattle at like 14th which is kind of nuts.
