For 2012 he plays LF, while AA can trade both Thames and Snider for other pieces. In 2013 he becomes the DH and Rasmus is either traded or slides over to LF to make room for Gose in CF. Thames and Snider as key pieces in any trade discussions will bring back alot of talent, remember Thames was seen as a 1st or 2nd round talent in the draft until an injury pushed him to the back of the draft where jp picked him up. Beltran would fit in nicely in the lineup and give Farrell alot of flexibilty. To have Beltran as a 1 year answer in LF and 3 years as DH would be a great fit for the Jays if he can be had at 9-10 mill, AA take it and run. If the Jays arn't looking to contend in 2012 and forward, the answer is no. Think about a line up of Escobar, Lawrie, Bautista, Beltran, Rasmus, Arencibia, Lind, EE, Johnson. Looks like not that bad of a lineup. If Beltran is signed a bigger move could be in the mix to acquire another bat and obviously more pitching.
