		<description>also, if you remember a few years ago gaston wanted to move him to the 4 hole and lind replied that he would rather not hit there. hitting in the 4-hole requires a certain state of mind. aquiring a big bat to hit 4th would allow lind to drop to 6th behind lawrie and we will see his production go way up.</description>

		<description>@gnor i think the main reason behind signing fielder is for protection. even when lind was hitting with power in the beginning of last season teams still pitched around bautista to get to lind. with fielder hitting behind him bautista will see many more hittable pitches. i like lind and i hope he could become the dh if fielder is signed. also, he can play outfield which makes him a very valuable player on this team. i would actually rather see them go after ortiz. they could sign him for much less and many fewer years until lawrie is ready to take the role of &quot;protector&quot;.</description>
