As you mentioned i worry very much about a flyball pitcher moving from the Giants' park to the rogers centre. not to mention fenway and Yankee stadium.

Jared, I'm growing impatient. Need some concrete Jays news! Again though your posts have been intriguing.

I watched Cain pitch a couple times last year and he was exactly as you put, inconsistent. Beyond Ricky Romero the Jays have nothing in the way of consistency and needs to be the focus of any deal. I am pro Matt Cain as his numbers reflect a top end rotation starter and would love to see AA acquire him, if the price is right. If the Jays can put together a package of Thames, Cooper or Sierra and a McGuire, Hutchieson or Syndergaard and another prospect then it be might considered. But, the big question remains, are the Jays ready to contend? Unless one or more needs are met at the same time (this offseason) then I wouldnt touch Matt Cain. I would use those prospects for the big ticket player the Jays still desperately need down the road.

Out of all the trade rumors aside from Joey Votto I have read this offseason, I am very pro Gio Gonzalez and Andrew Bailey. That might be a pipe dream, but watching Gio on the mound in Yankee Stadium, Rogers Centre and Fenway, dude is composed! Not to mention Bailey's deadly cutter in the 9th. That type of deal would require many of the prospects AA has brought to the system, but Gio and Andrew would also serve the Jays for several years to come.

Jared I have yet to read your personal take on Cespedes. Bringing him aboard would allow the Jays to focus on pitching. Thoughts?
