@DerekNakluski Thanks for the comment Derek, and rest assured I definitely don't put much (any) stock into what ESPN or SI might say on the Jays. The Morrow as a 4 or 5 starter comment is just laughable, so I had to include that bit. Sure he hasn't pitched well at all really this season, but everyone knows his stuff is overpowering. I still feel he'll be at the top of the Jays' rotation soon enough.

While I'm not as high on Adam Lind as many others and feel the Jays are in need of a more consistent 1B, it'll be interesting to see what happens over the offseason with him.

Agreed, and no you're definitely not a homer. That's the main reason I mentioned these tidbits; not because I felt he knew what he was talking about, but rather the reverse. Not one good thing to say about any prospects in all of this baseless, speculative at best Votto to Toronto talk. (For the record, I'm in favour of FIelder, obviously.)

I think Jays has enough chances to get Votto, because last year Reds dealed with Votto's extension, but just by 2013. The fact means that it is difficult for Reds to make a long deal, and Reds may be unable to keep him after 2013.
In addition, Big buget teams such as NYY, BOS, PHI have alredy had 1B players. So Red has hard situation to keep him or make a good trade for him. If Jays show some good prospects, maybe Red accept Votto's trade.

Wow, why was this guy worth posting. Good laugh for us folks north of the border. Maybe I'm just a homer but I didn't see one positive comment about the Jays in that entire dialogue. I guess I am used to that as a Jays fan but I am always shocked at the shear ignorance. Where did all of this Joey Votto to the Blue Jays talk come from? I would prefer Prince over Joey, I think his swag would be more inline with the young hot shots the Jays possess and are building around. Joey has too much emotional baggage. Although his .325 BA is attractive. Anyway get this clown off your site JJ.
