@Mylegacy If it costs the Jays cheap, then I would take Slowey in a heart beat over Jo-Jo.

why kevin slowey? i still think the jays should go after ubaldo. package cecil, drabek, another young pitcher and david cooper if needed. that would give the jays a rotation of : jimenez, romero, morrow, mcgowan (hopefully), and carrena or alvarez in 2012. pick up fielder to dh and i really believe thay can take the crown in the al east.

Just don't see the Slowey love. Looked at his stats and over the years...meh.

IF - there is any interest it has to be very short term.

It now looks like Alvarez (for sure), Hutchison (almost for sure), Drabek (we hope), and McGuire will ALL be knocking on the door for at least an audition in 2011. Molina (being stretched out from reliever to starter) is very close behind. A, H & D all look to have ACE stuff. With Morrow and Romero add Alvarez, Hutchison and Drabek and you might have yourself the beginnings of a very sweet rotation.

Slowey just doesn't belong in that discussion, no how, no way.
