Got to agree with @Mylegacy that our chances of signing more of these guys that usual is because with a new agreement going to be signed, there very well could something like in hockey….a sort of rookie cap!! Can’t wait to add more talent to our great farm system already and once they add the extra wild-card team(s) we most certainly will be back to the playoffs in the not so distant future!!

Great article Mat. As we were talking before, the issue with Beede really comes down to his signability, and whether or not the Jays are going to pay him either Deck McGuire money or higher. Should be interesting!

WOW, eh?

I didn’t know about the Beede Norris connection. Veeery interesting.

With this being the last year “over slot” may well be available to draftees – and – with the Jays ready and willing to spend serious money – I’m positive we’ll get most if not all of these tow 10 and quite a few of the others as well. I’ve been saying the Jays will go to 20 million – I swear on my former girlfriends cat’s grave – we’re gonna spend between 20 and 30 million and get almost this complete haul of HS studs.
