I think the reaso some think he might end up being better than Hech is that Hech is quite the string bean and I'm not sure just how much he'll be able to hit big legaue pitching. However, I was sure we wouldn't sign him after his father went bizarro on us - I remember thinking which combination of Ehlers, Shreve, Bryant and Acre we might be able to get with his money.
