We really traded Tony and Fred for Joe, Robbie and John Olerud. What made the deal work for us was that we had John ready to step in for the Crime Dog. So we got three stars for two. To this day I'm not sure if we might not have even been better off keeping Tony and Fred and working John in somewhere. I guess we'll never know.

Robbies homer off Eck - was - IMO - the single biggest hit in franchise history. That hit changed everything. At that point the players KNEW they could now win - and they did.
