If the Jays go after Justin Upton or Matt Kemp, throwing Rajai as the first piece on the table helps mitigate the needs of an OF replacement for that team. After that, it's all about giving them the right value for that piece. What that is, I have no clue, but it's going to be extremely hard to land either player this off season. If Alex pulls this one out of his hat, I'll be as impressed as I have been with most of his moves - including adding Davis. I'm not a massive Davis fan, but I do believe he adds exactly the dimension the Jays lacked. How many guys stole 50 bases in 2010? 3. That puts Rajai as one of the 3 fastest players in the league and Juan Pierre only beat him since he had more than 100 ABs more than him over the season. All I'm saying is that if speed was the issue with the Jays in 2010, it isn't anymore. By my count, it leaves the DH position, possibly 3B depending on where Bautista plays, and RP as the only issues remaining on the club.
