Trade Rumblings: Bautista and Litsch for Viciedo, Hudson and three minor leaguers. Its time to put down the pipe. Your GM will need a gun and mask to pull this off. Bautista is a rent a player and Litsch can't get his grandmother out. Viciedo will be a 40+ HR hitter by the time he is 25 and give Hudson a year with Don Cooper and he will be Danks. By the way thanks for the best freebie in a really long time. A Sox fan

I was going to say the same thing Drew, thanks for the pickup.

I know Adeiny got off on the wrong foot and that for many people, the first impression a player makes is really hard to shake, but I think you need to give him the benefit of the doubt. Here are his stats over his last 10 games (he was also riding a 12 game hitting streak until last night):

.333 avg in 42 ABs/ 14 hits/ 1 Tr/ 1 HR/ 3 BB - 8 SO/ .370 OBP/ .476 SLG/ .846 OPS/ 3 SB, not caught once.

At just 21 and playing in an entirely new country / atmosphere, Adeiny is rocking it. Plain and simple. He's hitting .343 versus lefties in AA, something that will pay off huge in The Show when he gets there. And, that doesn't include the rave reviews he's getting for his defensive play which includes a rocket of an arm and range Ozzie Smith would be proud of.

Adiney deserves to be talked about, and Jays fans deserve to know he's coming, because he's a big reason that they should be excited about the Jays future, as you should be as well!

@burt - How is Hechevarria a bust at the plate given that he's hitting .302 in his first 11 games at AA. He's also shown some pop at the plate as well.

AA is simply looking at getting as much premium talent as possible. Just because he's looking at a 2b/SS/CF/SP etc, that is not a slight against who he already has.

Too much about Adeiny Hechevarria here. So far, he has been a bust at the plate. Yes, I know that he is dealing with a lot on/off the field. However, there was little evidence that he could hit in cuba and even less that he can hit here. He was/is a gamble. I hope he pans out, but AA is obviously looking for other forms of infield help.
