No problem guys! Ian, I think that if Alex's contract had not included an option for 2011, the deal would never have been completed. They just needed some way to get some more power in that in return for Yunel. Really, who else could they have dealt for that would give them pop in return for Yunel without jeopardizing their INF D? Adam Dunn would have cost a ton more, many others are unattainable due to the "buy low" sticker on Yunel's back, which left the Braves with little in the way of options. I don't think they're done and could see them make a move for an OFer.

Now that Alex is gone I'm sure Alex will be fielding 1000 calls for the "other guys". We're in for a good ride so keep up the great writing guys and enjoy the Jays Makeover: Alex Anthopolous Edition. I know I will!

Mat,
Thanks for the shout out! Glad you enjoyed and agreed with our view on the deal.
AA continues to impress and there is still a couple of weeks of trades to be made.

Thanks for the link, Mat! The only thing I don't get from the Braves perspective is ... if Escobar clashed with Chipper Jones and Bobby Cox, why did they ship him off when Jones and Cox will be done at the end of the year anyway?
