There has been lots of hype, although everyone seems to understand that the Jays will need to move Overbay for something first, and Wallace will only be brought up when the Jays can also have control over him for 1 more season (not sure of actual date, but I do know it's early to mid-May. The Braves and others should be looking to fill 1B soon and any trade will depend on how much salary the other team is taking on. I don't think there's any doubt that Jays management want to bring Wallace up as soon as all is clear in Toronto at 1B, they just can't give away something of value like a quality defensive 1B with decent career numbers without getting any return as they try to build.

I'd say that within the next 2-3 weeks the Jays will begin making a few key moves involving reliever(s) and Lyle. Just a hunch, but with the way Alex moves - quick and to the point seems to be the norm!

Cheers Rob and hope we can help keep you up-to-date!

Jays fan here in Chicago... have a hard time keeping up with the latest on the team. Has there been much talk about when Wallace will be promoted? Obviously, he still needs some work with the glove, but that bat would be an immediate upgrade over Overbay.

Enjoyed the article Matt...just noticed one error, when you were discussing Kenny Wilson in the OBP section's blurb, you used Eric Thames batting numbers and draft position rather than Kenny's info.
