The New Hampshire Fishercats beat New Britain Thursday, with newly acquired phenom Kyle Drabek earning his 1st win as a member of the Jays organization. He struck out 8 over 5 innings while allowing 4 runs (3 earned). The one unearned run was due to a passed ball error by Catcher Brian Jeroloman. Drabek did allow 1 HR to Juan Portes, but otherwise was pretty effective, only allowing 3 hits aside from that big knock.

The real pitching story of this game, however, was the performances of Luis Perez and Daniel Farquhar after Drabek gave them the ball. Perez struck out 5 over 3 perfect innings, and Daniel followed him up with a perfect inning for him first save of the 2010 season.

3B Brad Emaus led the way in terms of offensive forces, going 3 for 5 with 2 RBI. 2B Calix Crabbe went 1 for 4 with 1 SB, CF Darin Mastroianni went 1 for 4 with 1 HR and 1 BB (he led the game off with his HR), and C Brian Jeroloman went 2 for 4 with 2 RBI.

New Hampshire RHP Marty McLeary (0-0, 0.00) is going up against New Britain RHP Mike McCardell (0-0, 0.00) at New Britain Stadium, game time 12:05 on Friday afternoon.
